Yes, there will be five more Twilight films. But no, it’s not what you think…

It’s fair to say that the level of success that the Twilight book and film franchise has enjoyed has been monumental: serving as launchpads for the careers of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, and also garnering a more-than-dedicated fanbase of ‘Twi-hards’ (that’s right). Now, it’s been revealed that author Stephanie Meyer has no plans of slowing down – but, unfortunately for Twi-hards, this time R-Patz and K-Stew are taking a backseat.

Meyer is launching a campaign, ‘The Storytellers - New Creative Voices of The Twilight Saga’, which challenges five aspiring female directors to create mini-movies based on the characters from the series. The short films will be financed by Lionsgate, and debut exclusively on Facebook in 2015.

The campaign teams with WIF (Women In Film), an organisation dedicated to encouraging creative projects by women, as well as bringing women greater access to employment opportunities.

Okay, we think we can let the lack of R-Patz slide.
