Addressing issues such as violence against girls, FGM and child marriage, Plan UK is one of the world’s largest child development organisations. Now, as part of their Because I Am A Girl campaign (driving for girls’ rights around the world), fighting for change has just gone 21st century with their app, Face Up.

The app encourages people to ‘Add your face’ – whereby the user uploads an image of their face with the template of the words, ‘I’m putting girls’ rights where they can’t be ignored’. The image can then be shared online to spread awareness.

Celebrity support has already come from the likes of Game of Thrones actresses, Natalie Dormer and Lena Headey, as well as singer Beverley Knight.

Well, what are you waiting for? Face Up.
