Meet the Leading Ladies – 100 influential senior women profiled in a book and exhibition project from award-winning photographer Nancy Honey.

Fashion legend Joan Burstein, academic Germaine Greer and novelist Diana Athill are all included, alongside eminent scientists and businesswomen. All the women featured have lived through a fascinating period of social change, excelling in roles essential to the shaping of the UK.

Expect an inspiring series of photographs and interviews.

‘I don’t think fashion and feminism should be enemies,' says one of the exhibition's subjects, Wendy Dagworthy OBE (former Dean of the School of Material and Head of Fashion, Royal College of Art), 'Coco Chanel was brilliant; she really changed what fashion meant for women: trousers, no frilly clothes, a slightly masculine look that I still love today. It’s a look that freed women, really.’

Visit 100 Leading Ladies at Courtyard Galleries of Somerset House until 26 October. The accompanying book is out now (Dewi Lewis Media)
