In honour of birthday this week we took a trip down memory lane in tribute to the all-American fashion designer.
Turn the clock back to 1999; a year in which everyone’s favourite show Friends reached peak popularity with a memorable cameo from none other than Ralph Lauren. Who can forget that elevator ride, filled with so-called sexual tension between Ralph and Rachel. The olive tan, the thumbs casually hooked in the jeans, the strong ‘n’ silent stance - Ralph delivered a masterclass in looking too damn cool without much effort at all; a fitting tribute to the Ralph Lauren style philosophy. He didn’t even have to utter a word to set hearts a-racing.
Here’s to you Ralph; designer, entrepreneur, and patron-saint of timeless sitcom-chic. Happy Birthday!
