We know you’ve been counting down to it. We sure have. After all, it makes Christmas, Easter and NYE pale into insignificance. It can only be… National Nachos Day. No, really, it's true. And we’re fully on board *wipes guacamole from chin*.

Thanks to our food-loving friends across the pond, this sour-cream-covered extravaganza is just one of ever-more-unlikely National Days that could soon be heading our way from the US. To be honest, we’ve only just come down off the sugar high from National Candy Day on Monday, and we’re not sure we can go back there for National Bittersweet Chocolate With Almonds Day tomorrow. November
15th: Pizza With Everything Day. Don’t you just love that pizza is now a side-dish?

December
1st: Eat A Red Apple Day. Pff, you can keep your Granny Smiths, thanks very much.

January
5th: Whipped Cream Day. Put it on everything. Even your cornflakes.

February

March
17th Corned Beef & Cabbage Day. Look, we didn’t make up the rules, OK?

April
15th: Glazed Spiral Ham Day. We don’t know what this is but, by god, do we want to.

May
25th: Wine Day. We like to celebrate this one every day…

June
11th: Corn On The Cob Day. Toothpicks ahoy!

July
15th: Gummy Worm Day. Don’t you dare darken our doorstep with a gummy bear. Or even a fizzy cherry. Got it?

August
Eat Dessert First Month. A whole month in which gateau is an acceptable canape. Thank you, America.

September
22nd: White Chocolate Day. The Milkybars are on us!

October
9th: Mouldy Cheese Day. OK, Americans, stop. You are clearly now taking the…
