To celebrate a year since dropping her surprise digital album Beyoncé, its eponymous singer has just released an epic 12-minute video online, musing on everything from love to fame to feminism.

'I always considered myself a feminist, even though I was afraid of that word, because people put so much on it,' she says.

'When, honestly, it’s very simple: it’s just a person that believes in equality for men and women. Men and women balance each other out, and we have to get to a point where we feel comfortable appreciating each other.'
