As Christmas draws nearer, nothing gets us more in the festive frame of mind than recognising the fact that celebrities welcome the holidays in the same way that we do… by singing their hearts out.

Here are our pick of the best celebrity renditions of classic festive songs...

Tom Hiddleston – We Wish You A Merry Christmas

Our former male cover star, T Hiddles is accompanied by Rodney Crowell on the guitar and an adorable dog called Mono while he sings We Wish You A Merry Christmas – what’s not to love?

Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt – What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve

OK, technically it's not a Christmas song, but points for cuteness? 100. It’s hard not to notice the interim giggling between the 500 Days Of Summer co-stars and real-life besties as they sing along to this end of the year classic.

Taylor Swift – Silent Night

T Swift + Silent Night + diamanté embellished guitar = festive perfection.

Anna Kendrick – Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

Who knew she had such a good voice? Admittedly Pitch Perfect was a giveaway that the actor could sing, but Kendrick’s slightly haunting cover of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas really has us feeling nostalgic. A Christmas miracle, indeed.

Bill Nighy – Christmas Is All Around

Last but certainly not least; what would Christmas be without Bill Nighy doing a ridiculous (but now timeless in the scheme of music parodies) adaptation of Love Is All Around.  Our favourite part? It has to be the ‘crude moment when he tries to slip in an extra syllable’ with ‘CHRISTMAS is all around me; come on and let it SNOW.’
