Eddie Redmayne has received an offer we're confident he'll find hard to refuse - a cameo role on Australian soap, Neighbours.

When we interviewed Eddie for the January issue of ELLE he professed his admiration for Susan and Karl Kennedy:

'Watch, and you’ll find that everything they do is on another level of genius. I really do think so. They are the greatest unsung acting duo in history' Eddie told ELLE.

And since winning an Oscar for his performance in The Theory of Everything, Eddie hasn't changed his tune. His unwavering love for the verteran Ramsay Street residents has prompted Neighbours' series producer Jason Herbison to offer Eddie a cameo in the show:

'If we could cap off an incredible year for Eddie by writing a guest role, however big or small, it would be our privilege,' said Herbison. 'I would ensure he moves into the Kennedys’ – they are renowned for hospitality.'

The timing is actually pretty neat - Neighbours is is currently prepping for its 30th anniversary special in which Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan and Margot Robbie are rumoured to feature. So Eddie would be in starry company.
