Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s comments about not needing to ‘sexualise yourself to be selling music’ have come at a strangely coincidental time if you watch FKA Twigs’ music video for Glass & Patron. In it, she gives birth to a scarf, which strangely transforms into dancers who then proceed to have a vogue-off with the singer.

Confused? So are we. BUT, we’re pretty sure that, if giving birth is the opposite of sexy, this ticks all the boxes for totally unsexy*.

Which actually confirms Cheryl’s statement: FKA most likely isn’t trying to be sexual in this video, thus proving that women can still sell records without oversexualising themselves.

*If you speak to most people who’ve given birth, we’re sure they would say that after labour is the least sexy time. We have no reason to doubt them.
