David Beckham—who, incidentally shares a birthday with the new princess (happy 40th Becks!)—posted a note to Facebook this morning to confirm that yes, he is also excited and to offer his congratulations:
The winky face! It just says so much.
The Beckhams are actually friends with Will and Kate—David and Victoria attended the Duke and Duchess's low-key wedding at Westminster Abbey back in 2011.
We're assuming David also texted Wills this morning when he heard the news, something along the lines of "Congrats mate! A girl! Scones with Kate and V when I'm back from Marrekesh? Kisses to the mum!"
