While we’re more used to writing about the designs of clothes, today we’re thinking about the design of something else close to our hearts: cash.

The £20 note is being redesigned, with a new face on the back, and the Bank of England is taking suggestions for who it could be.

The theme is visual artists, which encompasses everyone from painters to filmmakers. So we came up with our own list of people we’d like to see featured – even if they don’t stay in our purse for very long…
