The actor (and former ELLE cover star) confirmed the happy news via his rep over the weekend.
'Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are delighted to announce the arrival of their beautiful son,' ran the statement.
'We would kindly ask everyone to respect the family's privacy during these next few precious weeks.'
No word on a name yet, but we're hoping for something suitably Cumbertastic.
