Just in case you needed another reason to love Jennifer Lawrence, she's just signed on to play a major character in another book-to-movie adaptation. One of the best, loveliest fictional characters of the last few years, in fact.
Columbia Pictures is going to adapt Graeme Simsion's novel The Rosie Project, with Jennifer Lawrence now reportedly cast as the titular Rosie. If you haven't read the book yet, it's basically about a genetics professor who's a little socially and emotionally challenged, and all about maintaining order. In pursuit of a significant other, he creates a scientific survey to find his perfect match.
In the process, he meets Rosie, the polar opposite of all his requirements. She's funny, warm, and a little bit wild. And while we didn't picture Jennifer Lawrence for the role, now that she's been cast, we're totally onboard.
Adding to our excitement is that the script has been written by Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber, the dudes behind 500 Days of Summer. So you know it's going to be good.
No word yet on a release date, or who will play the book's protagonist, Don Tillman. Either way, we are VERY much looking forward to this. If only for all the guaranteed new gifable J-Law moments.
