Great news! ELLE’s annual talent competition is back for its seventh year and we’re on the lookout for the next writing superstar.

This year’s winner will have their piece published in the January 2016 issue of ELLE and win a beautiful Smythson notebook.

We are looking for a 500-word piece inspired by the hashtag #RelationshipGoals.

Think about any relationship in your life that matters to you and what you want from it, be it with a friend, boyfriend, mother, brother, colleague – the who is up to you.

Terms and conditions: This competition is open to residents of the UK and Ireland aged 18 and over. The competition opens on 6 August 2015 and closes 11.59pm on 10  September 2015. Entries received after this date will not be counted. Only one entry per person. You must not already have had material published in ELLE or on elleuk.com. The entry must not have been previously published. The five finalists, including one winner, will be chosen from the entries by members of the ELLE editorial team and the panel. Five finalists will receive a Smythson monogrammed Dukes manuscript book, worth £135. The winner’s letter will be published under your name in an upcoming issue of ELLE .There will be no payment for your submission. The winning entry may be edited prior to publication at the sole discretion of the ELLE editorial team and by entering this competition you consent to this and grant Hearst an exclusive licence in and to your work, in perpetuity.
