'Not enough people are using the art of music videos to add fuel to the fire when it comes to saying something in the lyrics of song. What a waste of an opportunity and there is so much predictability and sexism and stereotyping that operates within music videos, especially within certain genres of music. However, there are times when something comes along and reminds you how powerful a little film to music can be. It’s great to see a director's visual interpretation take shape but there are also powerful instances, like this from Kendrick Lamar, where the artist and director Colin Tilley, collaborate to say something, to take the song to another level.'
