In case you missed it, Miley Cyrus and Amy Schumer have been announced as emcees for the new series of 'Saturday Night Live' starting in October.

Miley will kick off the new episodes as the first host for season 41 on October 3, which will be her third time emceeing on the show. FYI, Miley is also lined up to play host at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 30. Busy girl. 'Trainwreck' writer and star Amy will make her 'SNL' hosting debut the following week, on October 10.

After that, comedian Tracy Morgan will be back as host, returning after a car crash left him in a critical condition last year. Expect lots of as-yet-to-be-confirmed musical guests and plenty of trademark SNL gags.

In the mean time, here are a few of our favourite previous female 'SNL' presenters doing their thang and proving why funny girls rock.

Maya Rudolph as Beyoncé and Sasheer Zamata as Solange, with Jay Pharoah as Jay Z, after *that* elevator incident after the Met Ball in 2014.
