UPDATE:

If you felt sorry for Miss Piggy because Kermit (maybe) moved on, don't. She doesn't need your pity. In fact, she's doing great! In an interview with Good Morning America, the glamorous Miss Piggy said right off the bat that she ended the 40-year (sobs) relationship. 'Look at me! Would you throw this away?' she said. 'No. No you wouldn't.' Z-snap right there.

She confirmed she's playing the field, with a different date almost every night. Miss Piggy is working it. Scoring a date with the pink lady isn't easy as pie though - you have to meet her criteria. 'There is an application form that you have to fill out, then maybe, maybe you'll get a date with me,' she said.

Are there any feelings for Kermit left at all? Miss Piggy does have a soft spot for him - well, 40 years will do that to a person. She said: 'He's a looker, that's for sure. Those eyes. That body. And the supreme sense of self-confidence that frog has, just walking down the street completely naked. He doesn't care!'

Just earlier this month, rumours were flying about Kermit the Frog moving on and dating another rosy-cheeked dame, Denise, head of marketing at ABC.

The pair had been spotted canoodling about, a source told PEOPLE magazine. According to the source, Denise is ‘always stopping by the set of Up Late’, Miss Piggy’s late-night talk show which Kermit is still working on, and that Kermit ‘calls her his girlfriend’.

However, Kermit has denied his new relationship in a statement on Twitter. He says they are ‘simply close friends’.

Hear that? It’s the sound of every eyebrow in the world raising. We all know what ‘close friends’ mean, Kermit, you can’t fool us.
