Beverly Hills doyenne and writer of raunchy bestsellers such as The Stud, The World is Full of Married Men, Lucky, and The Bitch has died after secretly fighting breast cancer at the age of 77.
Collins, who famously claimed her only weakness was 'wearing too much leopard print', captured a world of old fashioned glamour and excess in her novels, which often had sex, revenge, money and power at their heart - along with a healthy dose of humour.
Jackie Collins, sister of actress Joan Collins and mother to three girls, Rory, Tracy and Tiffany, stayed strong until the end, even appearing on British chat show Loose Women, nine days before her death on 19 September 2015. She will be sadly missed by fans, friends and family.
