Today sees the release of the latest iPhone 6S and and 6S Plus. Yes, another iPhone. You’ll see queues of people outside every store; over-night campers, obsessed Apple fans and the odd person who actually needs an upgrade.

With each update it’s easy to ask why you should be spending your month’s salary, again, for a few new features. Well the truth is, not everyone should.

Along with the release of the new devices, there’s a whole new software update with iOS9, meaning every iPhone owner can get access to a huge number of brand new tools and features without buying an actual phone.

But some of us should seriously consider joining those queues to get our hands on a new phone, as the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus may have been created just for you.

Yes, it’s a new toy to play with, but the iPhone 6S & iPhone 6S Plus come with a seriously exciting feature called 3D touch, a whole new way of interacting with your screen which could change eveything. You can apply different amounts of pressure to get different responses. For example, use a light touch to preview an email or hard touch to open it up and reply.

This iPhone has a serious camera upgrade with its 12 megapixel iSight camera and the addition of a flash to the front of the phone. Basically no more interruptions to night time selfies when you can’t see your face in that screen. But most exciting for Vine and Instagram lovers is Live Photos. When you take a photo, your iPhone is actually going to be taking a series of photos, which means there are images being captured before and after you take that one shot. With Live Photos you can turn the whole series a video, even when you didn’t know you wanted to.

There’s a new kind of glass going on these screens, the strongest Apple has made yet, so if you're on your 4th screen already, the iPhone 6S may actually help save you some cash just by avoiding repair costs. There’s also a new aluminum body to the device making it slightly thicker (and slightly less bendy too).
