Surprisingly, no falling or food involved

Jennifer Lawrence may be all cool, hilarious, and perfectly comfortable discussing her slightly gross habits in public, but that doesn't mean she's immune to embarrassment. Nope, sometimes she messes up, just like us, and seriously considers running away and living in a box for the rest of her days.

During an appearance on the Tonight Show, Jennifer made us all feel a little better about our own moments of stupidity by sharing two of her most embarrassing moments. They're brilliant.

Number one: the time she thought that she was talking to a dead mega-celeb. 'My most embarrassing moment was during Silver Linings year - one of those parties,' she begins. 'I'm just in the corner drinking champagne, and an older woman approached me and in my head I just went, "this is Elizabeth Taylor."'

Spoiler: it was not, because Elizabeth Taylor passed away in 2011.

'The whole time she's talking to me, I'm like, "Oh, my God! This is Elizabeth Taylor!" She's complimenting me! I was like, "Me? No! You!" Your movies that I can't name and your fashion moments that I don't know! I was like, "You're unbelievable!'" [...] My friend walked by and I grabbed her and was like "this is Elizabeth Taylor!" and she's like"...no. It's not.'"

J-Law of course reacted with grace and resilience, by sprinting away and hiding behind a wall. An inspiration to us all.

Jennifer's second most embarrassing moment is much more classic clumsy J-Law, involving accidentally showing her bum to Francis Ford Coppola. Brilliant. You can watch her recounting both incidents in the video below.
