It seems Daniel Craig has swapped tuxedos and martinis for white body armor and lightsabers to appear in the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens film.

If you’re currently scratching your head in confusion because you have actually watched the film and are pretty sure you didn’t spot Daniel - don’t panic. According to reports by Entertainment Weekly, the Bond star appeared in a cameo role as a stormtrooper, in full uniform (including the helmet).

If you haven’t seen the film yet, you may want to avert your eyes because there are a couple of *spoilers* ahead.

Remember the scene when Rey has been captured and tries to use a Jedi mind trick on the stormtrooper who is guarding her? She says, ‘You will remove these restraints and leave this cell with the door open’. Well it turns out that the stormtrooper, who responds with ‘I'll tighten those restraints, scavenger scum.’, is actually Daniel Craig.

The rumor that he would appear in the film was initially sparked back in May, when Simon Pegg, who also had a cameo in the film, let slip that ‘Daniel was a stormtrooper’.

When the Bond actor was asked by an Entertainment Weekly reporter about his rumoured cameo in July, Craig responded: ‘Why would I ever bother doing something like that? F*cking hell! Pffft. Play an extra in another movie.’

With the power of hindsight, we're thinking that clear he was being sarcastic, and actually is in the film.

Yet another reason we can't wait to see it.
