She's one of the biggest actresses in the world and yet Emma Watson has admitted that she was 'terrified' by the attention she recieved as a childstar.

After years of success, the Harry Potter actress has admitted that, as a young girl she often felt insecure whilst dealing with her new-found fame,  telling Porter Magazine 'I was terrified by the level of interest in me.'

Watson also confessed that she used to have to 'go numb' and close herself off to get through red carpet events.

'As a young person, that feeling of not being comfortable in my own skin was exacerbated by the microscope I was under.'

Now, at 25-years-old, Watson says she feels more confident in herself.

'I feel like I have a sense of self that I’m comfortable with,' Watson explained in the candid interview. 'I actually do have things that I want to say and I want to be my most authentic self.'
