According to global information provider, The NPD Group, Rihanna has been named as the world's most marketable celebrity, outranking other A-list celebrities such as Beyoncé and Angelina Jolie.

According to the study, if a popular celebrity is endorsed for a brand, fans are at least 50 percent more likely to use the brand.

And with the 27 year-old singer landing an index score of 367 (almost 3.7 times more than any the other A-list celebrity brand endorsement), her win was secured. That's great news for Puma; she's meant to be debuting her collection with the brand at New York Fashion Week next month.

With a number of endorsements under her belt, Rihanna has already proved her ability to get fans shopping when River Island hit a 70 percent rise in profits from her collaboration with the brand back in 2014.  NPD says her fans, 'have more distinctive brand preferences than any other big-name celebrity in any genre, including athletes, actors, musicians, and others.'

Guess that means we're in for more Rihanna on the high street? Hope so.
