The Netflix documentary has got to be the biggest televisual phenomenon of the last twelve months, right?

Even news that 'House of Cards' is returning and the incredible Robin Wright will be back on our screens again isn't enough to overshadow any new development in the Steven Avery, Teresa Halbach story.

Earl Avery, Steven's brother, has given his first to-camera interview to Access Hollywood.

If you thought he might provide some insight into the billions of unanwered questions we all have about the show, you'd be mistaken.

If anything, he's only added to the general confusion.

Talking about the night that Teresa Halbach's murder is generally agreed to have taken place, Earl has suddenly asserted that Teresa's car wasn't even on Avery's Auto Salvage land:

“We drove right through there, where that car was supposed to be and it wasn’t there,” he explained to the American TV show. “That night of the 31st, we were rabbit hunting.”

As well as throwing this spanner into the works, Earl also reiterated the same, key question that everyone has been asking, throughout the trial, but also throughout the airing of the documentary. Namely, where is the blood?

"If somebody's going to slice somebody's throat, you know, there's going to be blood - something," Earl stated.

"And they say they cleaned up in the garage, but there's all dust and everything all over everything. How do you clean up and then put the dust back?"

This new interiew is sure to have the internet ablaze with, if not fresh theories, at least a renewed sense of suspicion about the trial's verdict.
