Taylor Swift's girl squad have leapt to her defence after an unexpected fresh attack by Kanye West.

Just as most of us were enjoying what looked like a blossoming friendship between and Tay-Tay, post the apocalyptic awards show shaming of 2009, suddenly it seems like the war might have been reignited between the pop stars.

In his new song 'Famous,' Kanye references Swifty, boldly claiming:

'I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex,'

'I made that b**** famous.'

As to be expected, his wildly defamatory statement has prompted lots of backlash.

Mario Lopez posted to Twitter:

But though many will come out in support of Taylor, none of the outrage will be as hostile as that coming from Camp Swift and her girl clique.

BFF Jaime King (Taylor is godmother to Jaime's son Leo Thames) has posted this message about Kanye's new song:

And BFF no.2 Gigi Hadid, who was actually at Kanye West's Yeezy fashion show when this all began to go down, had this to say:

It has been reported that Taylor actually tried to caution Kanye against releasing the misogynistic 'Famous' track, but that he went ahead and did it anyway.

Oh Kanye.

It's only a matter of time before Lena Dunham and the rest of Taylor's 'Bad Blood' squad suit up in their leathers and blast down Kanye West's dressing room door to give him a piece of their mind.

What do you think of Kanye's new lyrics? Let us know on Twitter!
