When it comes to Instagram, there's no one better informed to advise you who to follow than Eva Chen.

A former magazine editor and a stalwart street style favourite, Chen made the move into social media last year when she was appointed head of fashion partnerships. Here she shares the 10 people to follow during Fashion Month exclusively with ELLE...

1. The Costume Institute Library, @costumeinstitutelibrary

This is the Instagram account for the Library of Costume Arts. It features photos of books and magazines from their archive. It's a great account for fashion students. Or just anyone who loves fashion!

2. Liz Tafaro, @thingslizwants

This is an account of an illustrator I discovered during last fashion week. She creates quirky illustrations that are cute, quirky, and spot-on! In a few pen strokes she manages to capture the characters of well-known figures. I love her account so much I actually got in touch and commissioned her to make my Christmas cards last year. That's what's great about Instagram – you're always discovering incredible creative talent.

3. Derek Zoolander, @Zoolander

You're not qualified to work in fashion unless you follow the original Blue Steel. I love getting a window into his Derek's diet regime – particularly his cheat day eats like a baby carrot.

4. Alber Elbaz @alberelbaz8

Alber Elbaz's account shows how designers can use Instagram in fun and interesting ways. I love his illustrations – they're full of humour and wit. It's really rewarding to see another side of such a legendary figure in fashion.

5. Nabile Quenum, @Jaiperdumaveste

A dynamic and very cool street style photographer. Not only are the shots beautiful, but his own style is incredible too. He's always super on point during fashion weeks.

6. Isabel Martinez, @isabelitavirtual

A copywriter from Barcelona turned photographer who collaborates with various designers from Dior to Viktor and Rolf to create beautiful content specifically for their Instagram.

7. Anka Itskovich @the_line_up

Is really different from typical street fashion with the really two-dimensional quality, often odd cropping, and cast of characters.

8. RS Theory, @rstheory

I love the creative collages that this Instagrammer creates using fashion editorials. They're lush, rich, and a lot to process—in a good way!

9. Lexie Roth, @Bruceysbluejeans

A great example of #triplegram.

10. Jeff K. Kim, @jeffkkim

A great men's stylist who posts behind the scenes of his work with celebrity clients.
