Your Instagram feed will never look the same again - yesterday our favourite procrastination tool announced it's changing the way it orders all the photos in our feeds.

Because the average Instagram misses 70% of what’s in their feed, including great photos from your best friends and those with tons of Likes, they will now start rearranging the order of posts in its feed to reflect what you actually want to see.

So rather than chronological as we’re used to, Instagram will order posts ‘based on the likelihood you’ll be interested in the content, your relationship with the person posting and the timeliness of the post.’

The good news is the changes mean you don’t have to be constantly scrolling to make sure you don’t miss anything as if a friend whose photos you usually Like posted something awesome the night before, it could appear at the top of your feed even if it is hours old.

Essentially this is exactly how your Facebook and Twitter feed works.

The new ordering will be actioned immediately, we look forward to seeing what will appear in our feeds next.
