ELLE has always been at the vanguard of change. We were the first magazine to go ‘360’ and develop one single team working across print and online. We were the first magazine office to hot-desk, and the first to turn our fashion cupboard into a fully interactive multimedia experience. And now, at a time of great disruption in fashion and radical rethinking in publishing ELLE is once again flying the flag for innovation with a brand new launch.

AvocadELLE is a bimonthly magazine produced by team ELLE and featuring all the latest news, views and style inspiration from the internet’s ultimate high traffic food trend, social media muse and source of 3million hashtags… that versatile source of hipster protein - the Avocado.

In our inaugural issue, hitting shops on 5 April, we celebrate the power of good fat; meet the Japanese fashion designer creating a line of bold accessories using avocado skin and exclusively track-down the Australian who claims to be the first woman to put avo on toast. We’ve also commissioned some of the world’s best writers to pen works of creative fiction including: ‘Confessions of an avocado stone, my life on the inside’ and a series of haikus dedicated to the fruit’s unique texture. 

ELLE’s editor-in-chief Lorraine Candy said: ‘Once again ELLE is first to challenge the status quo and take risks in the world of women’s magazines. It’s no surprise that AvocadELLE features some of the leading names in fashion, art and photography as this example of true out-of-the-box thinking is set to bring gastronomy, style and brilliant writing together like never before.
