The Backstreet Boys jumped onto the scene twenty years ago with karaoke-fave hits like 'Everybody (Backstreet's Back)' and 'I Want It That Way' , but frontman Nick Carter has confirmed that they’ve signed a deal for a nine show residency in Las Vegas – a sort of mini-residency, with the hope of turning it into  something more long-term à la Britney Spears and J.Lo.

The singer spoke at the premiere of his SyFy original movie Dead7, telling Entertainment Tonight: 'If it does really well, then I think that’ll open that door and then in future we’ll do it.'

And they're not planning to do things at half-mast.

'It would definitely have to be a very big and spectacular show. Thankfully, we have a good catalog so we can perform all of our hits. That could take up a lot of the show,' Carter said.

You read that correctly: all our hits. We’re talking I Want It That Way, we’re talking Everybody, we’re even talking Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely.

This comes on top of the recent news that theythe boys are releasing a new album, which band member Kevin Jackson confirmed at the premiere:

“We’re definitely in the studio, recording a brand-new album,” said Richardson.

And we're definitely on skyscanner, browsing flights to Las Vegas.
