In a filmed interview with the BBC's Royal Correspondent, the Duke of Cambridge opened up about the pressure imposed on him by his Princely duties.
Speaking to the BBC's Nicholas Witchell, Prince William admitted that he had, at times, found his place in the public eye difficult to deal with:
'I take duty very seriously. I take my responsibilities very seriously. But it's about finding your own way at the right time and if you're not careful duty can sort of weigh you down an awful lot at a very early age and I think you've got to develop into the duty role,' he said.
Delving further into his relationship with his grandmother the Queen, paying tribute to her on the eve of her 90th birthday, William said:
'I think the Queen's duty and her service, her tolerance, her commitment to others - I think that's all been incredibly important to me and it's been a real guiding example of just what a good monarch could be.'

The portrait comes as the Royal Mail plans a new set of stamps to commemorate several generations of the Royal Family.
Prince William has been out and about a lot recently. He's fresh off the plane from his tour of India and Bhutan with the Duchess of Cambridge.
Plus, yesterday, he and Prince Harry paid a visit to Pinewood Studios where they visited the set of Star Wars and met John Boyega and Daisy Ridley.
Incidentally, the Royal Mail seems to be a big supporter of the latest in the Star Wars franchise too, with special themed stamps currently on sale at the moment.
