Bad Tinder dates. We've all been there.

Turning up to a restaurant expecting to find Mr. Darcy, only to discover he looks nothing like his picture, and has the personality of a wet fish. Far from spending the night swooning over the man of your dreams, you spend the date wishing you were anywhere alse, making your way all too quickly through that bottle of red and then scarpering as soon as your tipsy brain has settled on an appropriate excuse.

If only there was a sure-fire way to get out of it quickly.

Thankfully, in one UK restaurant, now there is. The Brickyard, in St. Albans, has come up with a brilliant Tinder policy, to help you extract yourself from those nightmarish dates. The restaurant has placed a poster in the ladies toilets, which offers to provide you with an excuse to escape your date early.

The sign, entitled "Tinder Date Gone Wrong?" says: "Doesn't look like his picture, or just plain weird? If you're on a date and it's not going well, come to the bar and ask for Rachelle or Jennifer and we'll get you out of it and/or get you a taxi."

No longer will you have to rely on phone calls from friends, or quick getaways out of the bathroom window; the bar staff at The Brickyard have you covered.

Yet whilst we can all relate to a less than perfect date, the sign also raises important issues surrounding the safety of internet dating. The poster goes on to state: "Your happiness is our highest priority. If anyone is bothering you or making you feel uncomfortable please tell us. We will discreetly move them away, and if necessary as them to leave, The Brickyard is safe and fun, we want you to enjoy your time here. Talk to us and we'll sort it out :)."

Despite the added smiley, the poster hints towards a serious safety campaign for women, taking a step towards removing some of the possible dangers in meeting someone you've never seen. It will hopefully contribute to women being able to feel more secure in their knowedge of their safety.

We think it's an awesome move from the restaurant, and hope that the idea spreads across other eateries. So, time for that date?
