After Prince's death on Thursday, it's been a long and emotional week.
Fans new and old, TV shows, and Broadway plays have all been celebrating the late musician in their own ways. Celebrities have been particularly vocal about their shock and sadness: Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Dave Chappelle, and Kim Kardashian all shared their memories of Prince.
The latest star to share a tribute is Lady Gaga, an artist whose bold style and spirit remind us of The Purple One.
Gaga shared a photo on her Instagram page of Prince dressed in all purple playing his guitar along with an emotional message.
It starts with Gaga's personal beliefs on death and ends with Mother Monster thanking him for giving up his anonymity to share his life with his fans.
"You just found God early," Gaga wrote, "He needed you upstairs to innovate in heaven."
