'Sorry, I got lost in the song!' It's an excuse we've all been guilty of blurting out, as we've been caught over-enthusiastically dancing to a bit of our girl, Beyonce.

But whilst immersing yourself in the music once meant closing your eyes and imagining yourself on stage, the phrase has been given a whole new meaning, thanks to a new, interactive exhibit by Grimes.

As part of her headline set at Moogfest, North Carolina, Grimes will be putting on interactive installation, known as 'REALiTi: Inside the Music of Grimes.'

During the experience, festival-goers will be able to remix her 'Art Angels' track 'REALiTi,' by physically interacting with the space.

According to Microsoft, whose Kinect motion sensing technology is powering the exhibit, the installation will 'invite visitors to manipulate their surroundings,' which will bring about changes in the visuals and music.

Confused? So are we.

Here's a teaser trailer for the experience.
