Nicola Adams MBE has just smashed her second Olympics, bringing back another gold medal and making boxing history by being the first person ever to do so.

She's had a hectic 24 hours, arriving home from Brazil after five weeks.

We caught up with her first to hear about the tears, the tactics and where she's going for her victory meal.

Who was waiting for you at the arrivals gate?

My mum and my brother, it was really nice to see them.

It's been four years of hard work and they've seen me through injuries and ups and downs but it's all been worth it for them to see me get on the podium and get another gold medal.

We know you're a Nandos fan, have you had a victory Chicken Peri Peri?

I haven't no - we couldn't find one in Rio. I am definitely going to get one in soon though.

Where will you keep your Gold?

I think I'm going to put them together and frame them with the vest and shorts  I was wearing for the final fight.

How did this Olympics compare to the London Games?

I felt a lot more confident going into Rio because I had a lot more experience.

I felt like a more rounded athlete.

When I got into the sport, I wanted to win medals. I didn't think I would inspire people to their achieve goals.

It must have been euphoric the first time around, did it top that?

I actually got quite emotional on the podium this time.

I started crying because I knew I was going to retain my title for another four years.

In the last five months, I have become European champion, Commonwealth champion, World champion and double Olympic champion.

I've now won the Grand Slam of titles and it's never been done before in boxing.

I'm literally number one in the world.

If you stay true to yourself, be determined and work hard, impossible is nothing.

What do you always pack for competitions? (Embarrassing slippers, pictures of your mum...)

I need to have my Play Station with me at all times.

I play a bit of Call of Duty and Final Fantasy to relax and rest in the evenings.

I can't get tired going out so it's the best way to stay entertained.

How has competing at this level changed your life?

It's changed everything.

And I hope it doesn't just stop with me.

I think it's going to inspire the next generation and get them involved in boxing.

Since 2012, we've had a 50% rise in people taking up boxing and I'd love to see that continue.

What will you remember most about Rio?

When I got on the podium and started crying.

I am not a cryer and everybody who knows me knows I never cry.

Emotions just ran through me and I was overwhelmed.

It was such a relief  because I'd set out this goal and I've overcome so many challenges, including a bad shoulder injury.

If you stay true to yourself, be determined and work hard, impossible is nothing.

What was on your Rio soundtrack?

DJ Khaled ft. Drake, For Free.

I am not a cryer and everybody that knows me knows I never cry but I couldn't help it when I got up on the podium

Did you do anything different training-wise this time around?

I am always trying to improve my training.

You can always be technically better, always be stronger and  faster.

I try to stay one step ahead in the game and not let my opponents catch up.

What do you think of the latest fitness trend of Boxerina (a ballet/boxing mash-up)?

I haven't tried it yet, but it's got boxing in it so why not?

What makes a winner?

Being hardworking and dedicated.

How does it feel to be a role model?

It's an honour that people speak of me so highly.

When I got into the sport, I wanted to win medals. I didn't think I would inspire people to their achieve goals.

Who is your sporting hero?

Serena Williams, she is smashing the tennis world.

She's an incredible athlete and you can really see her desire to win when she's on the court.

Is there anything you want to say to your fans?

I would just like to say thank you to everybody who was supporting me through my journey.

When I was in the ring I felt like I had all of Britain behind me because every time I threw a punch the crowd was roaring.

Do you have big plans for the future?

I've got really big plans and hopefully I will be telling you about that in the next few months.

We really cannot wait...
