In an interview with Rollacoaster mag, Liam Payne revealed that Donald Trump, a man arguably more famous for his erratic behaviour and childish tantrums than for his politics, once made the band leave one of his New York Hotels rather abruptly.
Payne and his bandmates were staying at the five-star Trump Tower in New York City when they were called up by Trump to meet his daughter.
Payne stated that Trump had phoned their room asking if they'd be happy to meet his daughter (whether it was Ivanka or Tiffany remains unclear).
"He phoned up our manager and we were asleep. He said 'well, wake them up' and I was like 'no'."
When their manager relayed the response to Trump, the disgruntled tycoon threw the whole lot out of the hotel.
"Obviously in New York, we can't really go outside. New York is ruthless for us. So he was like, 'OK, then I don't want you in my hotel.' So we had to leave."
As if that wasn't bad enough, Trump then refused to let them leave the building in secrecy via an underground parking garage.
We predict Trump's dangerously low approval ratings will plummet even further after this news.
