Last night on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim shared her terrifying Paris robbery ordeal with the world.

If you are in the UK and haven't seen it yet (kudos for not giving in and streaming), Kim speaks openly for the first time about the horrific robbery she endured last year in Paris.

Before the show aired she Instagrammed a photo of her family.

The caption read:

Tonight's episode is going to be very tough for me. However, I thought it was important to share this story through my eyes & not in an interview where my own words could be twisted. I have always shared so much & I'm not going to hold back when this was probably one of the most life changing experiences for me. I would never wish this experience upon anyone, but have learned some valuable lessons & feel so blessed to be safe home with my babies & husband. To my friends, family, and loved ones I can't thank you enough for being there when I needed you the most. To the French police, thank you for your incredible hard work. *This was our last family photo taken in Paris.

Which read:

I took a tragic horrific experience and did not let it diminish me, rather grew and evolved and allowed the experience to teach me. I can say I've become so much better because of it....thank you for allowing me to share my story tonight #KUWTK

She also Tweeted about the experience of sharing her story.

She spoke about her decision to share the experience since she has always lived her life openly, and learned a lot from the tragic incident.

After the show she Tweeted some positive messages of hope.

And showed some of the support she gained from the most unlikely of places.

A group of French paparazzi posed for a photograph and captioned it,

To Kim & the Kardashians, 'We don't love you because we need you, We need you Because we love you' All the very best, Your favourite French Paps.

When so many things can feel as though they are against you, this message it's a lovely reminder that love and support can come from the most unlikely of places, and that perhaps, our relationship with celebrity is more respectful than we thought.
