Harry Styles is just released his new single 'Sign of the Times', which means he's out in the wild doing press about it and being his usual charming if somewhat shorter-haired self.

During an interview with BBC Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw this week, Harry teased his new album and song, but the most important of the chat came when he started talking about fellow British person Adele. Harry said he talked to her "a little bit" about the album but didn't quite get specific advice.

He did, however, get a pointed birthday gift from her two years ago, when he turned 21.

"For my 21st, she gave me one of her albums, 21, and said, 'I did some pretty cool stuff when I was 21, good luck,'" said Harry.

"And I was like, 'Geez.'"

Geez is right. 21 won seven Grammys, was the best-selling album of 2011 and 2012, and spent four years on the Billboard 200 chart.

Harry turned 21 in 2015, so two of those things had already happened when Adele handed it over, which means she totally know what she was doing. It's not like he needed any more floral Gucci suits or suede Beatle boots though, so it's fine. But also, your move, Harry.

Time to break some album sales records!
