Riz Ahmed has made Time's 100 Most Influential People list and landed one of the issue's coveted celebratory covers.
The Rogue One star and ELLE's TV Actor of the Year was one of five stars including John Legend and Viola Davis to be chosen a front cover.
The prestigious list includes Hollywood stars such as Ryan Reynolds, Margot Robbie, Donald Glover and Oscar-winners Davis and Emma Stone.
Get Out director Jordan Peele, musicians Ed Sheeran and Demi Lovato, and TV stars James Corden and RuPaul also feature, as do world leaders Donald Trump and Pope Francis.
Ahmed appears in the publication's Pioneers section alongside Moonlight's Barry Jenkins, Chance the Rapper and Ivanka Trump.
Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda pays tribute to the 34-year-old Nightcrawler actor in the issue: "Look! Riz Ahmed has been quietly pursuing every passion and opportunity for many years as an actor [The Road to Guantánamo, Four Lions, Nightcrawler], rapper ['Post 9/11 Blues','Englistan'] and activist [raising funds for Syrian refugee children, advocating representation at the House of Commons].
"To know him is to be inspired, engaged and ready to create alongside him. The year 2016 was when all the seeds he planted bore glorious fruit, and here's the best part: he's just getting started.
Look! Now Riz Ahmed is over there, playing Bodhi Rook in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, defecting to the Rebel Alliance and breaking our collective heart!
"Look! We're alive at the same time as Riz Ahmed! Look!"
It is pretty awesome.
Ahmed most recently appeared in Netflix's The OA, the final series of Girls, HBO's acclaimed The Night Of, and just completed filming western drama The Sisters Brothers with Jake Gyllenhaal.
