Mancunians have been offering up their beds to those stranded in the city after the explosion at an Ariana Grande concert.

22 have died and at over 50 were injured when an explosion went off at the Manchester Arena following the Dangerous Woman show. Police are still looking into whether the attack was an act of terrorism after a loud bang was heard from the foyer of the arena at around 22:35pm.

The connecting Manchester Victoria train station has been closed, leaving many stranded and looking for somewhere to stay. Taxi drivers began to offer free rides shortly afterwards to help people get home.

Mancunians tweeted with the hashtag #RoomForManchester, promising some shelter and a place to rest after the horrific event.

<p>In the midst of the awful situation, people are praising the local residents for their kindness. Local Councillor Bev Craig tweeted: " mancunians="" opening="" their="" homes="" to="" those="" stranded,="" and="" businesses="" offering="" free="" rides.<="" p="">
