Hoorah! Taylor Swift is Out Of The Woods, in front of some foliage, and back on social media after a lengthy absence from our lives.

The 27-year-old singer was looking fresh-faced and sporting her natural golden curls in a Twitter clip to congratulate Oklahoma City Thunder's Russell Westbrook at the NBA Awards last night.

Which wasn't exactly how we had expected her to break her social media hiatus, but then again, her good friend Drake - who she is also collaborating with on her new album - had been hosting the ceremony.

And she's a massive fan of basketball star Russell Westbrook, of course.

In the video, Taylor joked that she had been the one to teach Russ basketball, and he in turn had taught her how to Shake It Off. Get it? We're a bit confused too. But did we mention how great it is to have Taylor back?

"Ahh Russell... It's Taylor. Remember? I was the one who taught you basketball. I was the one who taught you to dribble, and shoot hoops and I remember the first time you beat me at basketball, and I was really upset, and you said you just have to shake it off and I got an idea...," the star deadpanned in the clip.

"So essentially we have to thank each other for these careers. So that's why I'm art of your congratulations video, because we go back 20 years.... Actually we've never met and that's a fake story but I wish that was the truth.

"You are amazing you are the MVP and I'm so happy for you!" she added, before signing off.

Meanwhile, Taylor recently returned to Spotify (*cough* on the same day as Katy Perry released her new album Witness *cough*) to celebrate 1989 selling over 10million albums worldwide.

The singer has also been enjoying a well-deserved break, although friend Gigi Hadid recently let slip to ET that Taylor's back in the studio, while Ed Sheeran hinted to the BBC that she may release a new record by the end of this year.
