EXHIBITION: Chris Stein/Negative – Me, Blondie And The Advent Of Punk
The East Wing of Somerset House will be awash with 40 years of music history as electro duo Blondie celebrates four decades since graduating from New York’s downtown punk community to global stardom.
Coinciding with a book of the same name, Chris Stein’s Me, Blondie And The Advent Of Punk showcases previously unseen pictures of Deborah Harry and a host of recognisable punk darlings of the Seventies and Eighties in their heyday.

GOING OUT: Halloween Raveyard
The Vaults at Waterloo relive their shaded history as a grizzly morgue facility in reaction to severe overcrowding at London’s graveyards in the 1850s at Halloween Raveyard’s fancy-dress spectacular.
Think the Northern Line is bad? Wait until you experience the full horror of this former train station as it’s transformed into a ghoulish party extravaganza, with plenty of scares around every corner.

EXHIBITION: Grayson Perry – Who Are You?
Perhaps better known for his colourful alter ego Claire, Turner-prize winner, national treasure and ceramic maverick Grayson Perry asks Who Are You? in his latest exhibition at The National Gallery.
Politician Chris Huhne, a young transgender person, Northern Ireland Loyalist marchers, and X-Factor contestant Rylan Clark are among the subjects of a new display by Perry, accompanying three 60-minute films to be broadcast on Channel 4 this month.

CINEMA: Hot Tub Halloween
While it might be getting too chilly in London to keep a bikini on-hand for impromptu lido sessions, the Hot Tub team are back in London with a frighteningly fantastic weekend of cult horror screenings, set in the gusty surroundings of Shoreditch’s former Underground station.
Soak up the ambience (and the suds) in a bloody tub complete with floating limbs as the cinema screen plays teen sleepover favourites from yesteryear such as Scream, The Craft and Beetlejuice.

FESTIVAL: Day Of The Dead Festival
The Day Of The Dead Festival finds tequila patrons Jose Cuervo, Arte Mexico and the Mexican Embassy joining forces to pay homage to the country’s beloved Dia de los Muertos festival with all manner of activities.
South Bank’s Oxo Tower will be transformed into a macabre exhibition of deathly contemporary Mexican art and, if you like your tequila with a twist, there will also be margarita masterclasses before a special screening of the 1984 classic, Under The Volcano.

MUSIC: MØ at Shepherd’s Bush Empire
Danish songstress MØ (AKA Karen Marie Ørsted) returns to The O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire with her infectiously icy, electro-pop vocals.
Her stripped-back version of the Spice Girls classic Say You’ll Be There had the internet talking back in February, swiftly followed by the release of her critically acclaimed album, No Mythologies To Follow. Catch her performing the latter while you can.

THEATRE: Shakespeare In Love
We collectively swooned over Joseph Fiennes in the 1998 original, and now the stage version of Shakespeare In Love comes to the West End to enchant us all over again.
Set in the extraordinary magnificence of the Noel Coward Theatre, promising young playwright Will Shakespeare finds himself tormented by writer’s block until he finds his muse in the form of passionate noblewoman, Viola De Lesseps, inspiring him to write the greatest love story of all time, Romeo And Juliet.
