It's time to pack your bags and head to Norway, as the Nordic nation claims top prize for the happiest place to live on earth.
According to the United Nation's 2017 World Happiness Report, which measures "subjective well-being" Norway has jumped from fourth place last year to top spot – pipping Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands, Canada and New Zealand to the prized post.
The UN calculates the rankings each year by creating average scores based on six areas for each country: income, life expectancy, social support, generosity, freedom and trust.
"Imagine a ladder, with steps numbered from 0 at the bottom to 10 at the top." The questions asks. "The top of the ladder represents the best possible life for you and the bottom of the ladder represents the worst possible life for you. On which step of the ladder would you say you personally feel you stand at this time?" The average result is the country's score.
