These Are Meghan Markle's Potential Bridesmaids

Priyanka Chopra and Meghan Markle are relatively new friends — but Chopra has shown up several times on the Suits star's Instagram feed, and they certainly seem bridesmaid-level close. Chopra is also one of the few people to have spoken out about Meghan and Harry's relationship — mostly to defend her friend.

Not only did she criticise a recent cover shoot, (to quote: "It would have been nice to write about her, not just her boyfriend, I'm just saying"), she also snapped back at Wendy Williams for describing Markle as "Prince Harry's girlfriend." However, Williams did ask Chopra if she'd be a bridesmaid and the actress joked, "I don't think I'm that close to her. I've known her two years now. We randomly met at a party and got on really well. So I don't know, once I get the invite...."

Did you notice the white button-up top Meghan Markle wore for her first public appearance with Prince Harry at the Invictus Games? Well it's aptly named the "husband shirt" and was designed by her longtime friend Misha Nonoo. The celebrity designer favourite (who seems to frequently vacation with Markle) may actually be partially responsible for getting her friend together with Prince Harry. Nonoo's husband Alexander Gilkes went to school with William and Harry, and the pair were even invited to the Duke and Duchess' wedding.

Heather Dorak frequently pops up in Meghan Markle's posts — which makes sense: She's her Pilates instructor. Dorak runs Pilates Platinum out of California, but her appearance with Markle in this photo (not to mention this photo of them hanging on the beach) implies that they're pretty close. Markle even spent Christmas 2016 with Dorak in L.A., so their friendship is certified-holiday-level close.

Okay, this one seems a given. Not only was Meghan Markle a maid of honour in her best friend Lindsay Jill Roth's wedding, she is all over her Instagram feed. An example of their friendship? Meghan flew Lindsay out to Toronto to have a special wedding dress fitting at Kleinfeld Hudson's Bay. The duo met in a Toni Morrison literature class during their freshman year at Northwestern University, and they're very close. "I think people assume that when someone gains notoriety that they change," Roth said of her friend. "But she's still the same girl I met years ago, with the same values and priorities. She's selfless, and that's just a part of who she is and who she was raised to be."

Actress Janina Gavankar has been friends with Meghan Markle for a whopping 15 years. Markle even inspired Gavankar to launch her own lifestyle website, and it appears as though they FaceTime frequently.

Jessica Mulroney is Markle's stylist, and the pair do just about everything together — from travelling to drinking wine on the couch at Mulroney's house (AKA Markle's "home away from home"). She's a wedding shoo-in.

Yep, that Serena Williams. Markle met the tennis champion at a charity football game in 2014, and became close friends. In her lifestyle website The Tig, Markle wrote: "We hit it off immediately, taking pictures, laughing and chatting — not about tennis or acting, but about good old-fashioned girly stuff. So began our friendship....She quickly became a confidante I would text when I was travelling, the friend I would rally around for her tennis matches, and the down-to-earth chick I was able to grab lunch with a couple of weeks ago in Toronto." For her part, Serena says, "Her personality just shines. I told her: 'You've got to be who you are, Meghan. You can't hide.'"

Abigail Spencer is one of Meghan Markle's co-stars on Suits, and they appear to have a solid off-screen relationship. It's unclear if Spencer is a close enough friend to get a spot on the bridesmaid docket, but she frequently appears in Meghan's social posts.
