I fly in on Saturday afternoon after a Friday night gig, from wherever in the world I’ve been working. I am greeted at the airport by Miguel, my trusty driver of three years. He updates me on the weekly gossip and hottest parties and places to hang. After a short journey, I arrive at the stunning new Ushuaia Tower Hotel, (Playa d'en Bossa 10, 07817 Sant Jordi de Ses Salines, enq 00 34 902 424 252, ushuaiabeachhotel.com) my ‘home’ for the weekend. The Tower is the latest addition to the incredible Ushuaia Beach Club, which attracts thousands of people to party in the sunshine. I drop my bags in the room and head for the lazy pool, which is hidden behind the hotel rooms, in the main Ushuaia Beach Club. It's only for specific guests, but I always manage to sneak in with a smile. It has its own swim up bar and plays cool deep House music so you can melt into the sun loungers with a cocktail and you feel completely relaxed.

Sunsets in Ibiza are spectacular, so I head north and to one of the best venues for stunning views, Café Mambo (Carrer de Vara del Rei 07820 Sant Antoni de Portmany; enq 00 971 34 66 38, cafemamboibiza.com) on sunset strip. I catch up with old friends and enjoy a strawberry daiquiri, perfectly mixed, listening to the DJ as the sun hits the water. For dinner, I head into Ibiza Town where Downtown (Ibiza Gran Hotel Paseo Juan Carlos I, nr. 17 Ibiza 07800; enq 00 971599 050, cipriani.com) is a particular favourite. It is set within the Ibiza Gran Hotel and has stunning views of Dalt Villa. There is an indoor and outdoor restaurant, serving Cipriani classic cuisine. My favourite is the grilled 10oz Kobe beef, which is delicious and the desserts are to die for.

Saturday night is a big night on the Island and there’s only one place to be: the Defected in the House party (defected.com). An amazing night, which after 7 years at Pacha, is now at brand new club Bomba ( Paseo Juan Carlos I; 07800, bombaibiza.com) owned by the Cipriani group. It’s the most stylish place to party. It draws a fantastic crowd of people who love to dance to great house music. Sunday morning, the best way to nurse a headache from the night before is the Canadian Café (Passeig de Vara de Rei, 6) in Ibiza town. The island’s answer to Starbucks, with a Canadian owner, it serves the very best coffee and bagels.

Sundays are all about recuperating and recharging the batteries in anticipation for our Monday party. So, where else is best for sleeping, eating and sunbathing – obviously in style - than La Salinas Beach, soaking up the rays on the sunbeds at the Jockey Club (Ses Salines Beach, s/n, enq 00 34 971 395 788, jockeyclubibiza.com). I will always have mussels, sit on the terrace listening to deep house and wash it down with sangria blanco. In the evening a group of us normally meet for a late supper, usually at Bambuddah Grove (Carretera de San Juan, km8.5 07840 Santa Eulalia del Río, enq 00 971 19 75 10, bambuddha.com), my favourite place to eat Asian cuisine. The setting is spectacular and I love the ‘12 hours slow cooked Ibiza chicken’ - marinated with fresh juices and it comes with dahl. Delicious!

On Monday I’ll have a buffet breakfast at Ushuaia before I step out to meet the beautiful crowds, poolside at Ushuaia Tower, with their hands in the air, facing the DJ booth and looking out to sea. What a stunning sight in the Ibiza sunshine. This is the best bit of my long weekend… getting to play my first tune to the glorious beaching clubbing party goers!

Sam Divine has been working in Ibiza for the last seven seasons. This year she’s the resident DJ at the free Monday Defected present DFTD party, at The Ushuaia Tower in Playa d’en Bossa. Commuting to Ibiza most weeks, Sam knows how to make the most of every visit.
