On Friday I’ll be starting at The Blue’s Kitchen (11-113 Camden High St, NW1, Enq: 020 7387 5277, theblueskitchen.com) for the best rack of ribs and chicken wings ever. They also do a lovely tequila slush puppie which, if the suns out, will go down an absolute treat. My favorite drink at BK has got to be the Rum & Ting –the name is absolute class – Appleton Rum and a can of Ting. Then on to Love & Liquor (32 Kilburn High Rd, NW6, enq: 020 7625 7500, loveandliquor.co.uk) for West London’s carnival king Norman Jay’s Good Times. Everyone loves Norman and he drops an amazing set that has no boundaries.

On Saturday, I’ll be waking up to an early work out then off to Bermondsey Market (Bermondsey Square, SE1). I’ve been on the hunt for taxidermy and am on the look out for an eagle and I’ve got a feeling this could be the weekend I collect my first piece. Also I’m originally a South London boy so it’s nice to come ‘home’ as they say. On to Shoreditch for a bit of shopping at Spitalfields Market (Brushfield Street, E1, spitalfields.co.uk), or the pop-up mall Boxpark (2-4 Bethnal Green Rd, E1, enq: 0207 033 2899, boxpark.co.uk), and then get ready for the Saturday night. I’ve been in a disco type mood of late and fancy cutting some real shapes on the dance floor. XOYO (32-37 Cowper St EC2A, enq: 020 7354 9993, xoyo.co.uk) is the party destination for Saturday night with Kindness and Joakim taking to the decks.

Sunday will be a late start to the day- for obvious reasons - so straight to Paradise by way of Kensal Green (19 Kilburn Ln, W10, enq: 020 8969 0098, theparadise.co.uk) for delicious Sunday roast. A gorgeous roast with good music surrounded by good friends. Knowing me, once my roasts over and Bloody Mary downed, I’ll be up for a party…again - The Paradise Show with Huey Morgan and the Rotten Hill Gang. West London’s going to be in absolute tizz after this party but hey, we’ve got the whole of Monday to recover.

Oh how I do love a Bank Holiday weekend.
