The Sarojin
There are no worries of big groups and shrieking children to put a crimp in your honeymoon at The Sarojin – this place is definitely for couples only. Not that you’re likely to bump into anyone else: with 10 acres of manicured tropical gardens, a turquoise-tiled infinity pool offering daybeds on platforms over the water and seriously sumptuous suites, you can spend your whole stay wrapped up in your own world of cosseted luxury.

The fact that there’s a ratio of seven members of staff to each guest at Amanpuri gives some sort of indication of the kind of service you can expect. It’s off the scale. Friendly, discreet and unceasingly helpful, here every wish is your command; it’s a place where nothing is too much trouble. Throw in a coconut plantation setting, a 27-metre infinity pool and the sleek, minimally designed suites, and it all adds up to a place where you can live like Hollywood royalty. Phulay Bay
Location-wise, Phulay Bay is nigh-on impossible to beat. On the west coast of Southern Thailand in Krabi, it’s a sybaritic sanctuary of perfect blue sea and sky. And if the views weren’t spoiling enough, then there’s the fact that each super-sized suite comes complete with a hammam-style bath, a private swimming pool, his and hers bathrooms and its own 24-hour butler. Trisara
Trisara is a place that, frankly, has got indulgence down to a tee. Standing grandly atop a hillside on the northwest coast in Phuket, from check-in to check-out a stay runs like a well-oiled (and very luxurious) machine. Despite the fact it stretches out along a couple of kilometres of private coastline, each of the pool villas is completely secluded and feels seriously intimate.
