Defected resident, Sam Divine has come a long way since her days working in a record store, and has spent the past seven years rocking Ibiza's shores.

Now one of house music's leading ladies, Sam has launched her own label, D-VineSounds, which works on a foolproof formula of 'good music + good people = good times'. A regular on the international party scene, here the DJ shares a more private playlist.

Pyrocight - Elementary

Signed to Defected’s sister label DFTD, this is a high energy dance-floor mover with big synth stabs.

Low Steppa - So Real

Looove this track! It nails my three favourite things on a house track, bassline, vocal and piano – I'm a huge fan of Low Steppa's work.

Curtis Gabriel - If You Can

This is a peak time banger and always gets a huge reaction from the dance floor. I think we can expect big things from Sheffield-based Curtis Gabriel.

Harry Romero & Joeski Feat Shawnee Taylor - Get It Right

Such a sweet vocal from Shawnee on this one and a rolling fun bassline with lots of percussion that keeps the track moving from start to finish.

As I Am Ft. Nicola tate - Saving Grace

This is an anthem-in-the-making with an impressive list of DJs from all corners of the globe contributing the record. It's also featured in Pete Tong's Essential Mix – big support from me.

Zinc - Show Me (Cause & Affect)

A huge summer anthem for me in Ibiza this year, it has a positively uplifting vocal with a baseline that comes out of nowhere.

Floorplan - Never Grow Old

This one's a massive hit on the underground scene but also a great crossover record if used at the right time. It's a techno roller with a gospel vocal.

Franky Rizardo – Troubleman

Taken from the Troubleman EP on Defected, this one has lots of percussion with a sexy vocal – wins every time.

AndMe - Release Me

This track has a bouncy bassline roller with a killer vocal and big pads through the breakdown which set it up nicely for the main drop.

Jerome Price - Negative

Listen here

A gritty bassline that keeps building throughout. A track that makes you put your phone down, pay attention and start dancing.

Sam Divine will be playing at Defected In The House at Ministry of Sound on New Year’s Eve 2014.
