The 36 square-mile Caribbean island of Nevis (that's Neeeeevis) is home to lots of perfect little bays like this one. Here you can take out kayaks, paddleboards or snorkels, ride along the sands or just flop on a lounger with a rum punch from the tiki bar.
Where to Stay:
The just-opened Paradise Beach resort has seven gorgeous two-bed, three-bed or four-bed (totally private) villas in beautiful gardens buzzing with hummingbirds flitting around the hibiscus, ixora and avocado trees. With square footage starting at 2900, these villas are huge. Renovated by British designer Naomi Cleaver, every inch is handcrafted from the Italian tiled floors to the thatched roofs and exposed beams.
Each villa has its own butler, fully kitted out kitchen, epic bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers (villa three has a large sunken bathtub), custom-made beds and a private terrace with a pebble-lined pool and a gym cupboard…
Private chefs will come over and whip you up tasty local style breakfasts like banana pancakes, fresh fruit, saltfish, johnny cakes and guava juice. or a three-course dinner before you roll back down to the beach…
