This week, if it's not tasty, we're just not interested. Cue creative cocktails, sexy fish (really) and 80 chocolate makers in one room. Yes!More
FOOD: Sexy Fish
When a fish restaurant's launch is attended by Kate Moss, Rita Ora ( who was shot as a mermaid for the pre publicitiy) and Matthew Williamson, you'd assume it serves up far more than your average scampi and chips. And you'd be right. Because this swish new restaurant is run by the owner of The Ivy, is decorated by specially created Damien Hirst artworks, and features a 13ft wire crocodile centrepiece by Frank Gehry. And the food? Expect Asian-inspired seafood such as seared yellowfin tuna with dried miso and wood sorrel, plus meat dishes like gochujang and miso lamb cutlets. It opens to us mere mortals on Monday, so get dusting off your mermaid dress now.
Opens 19 Oct Sexy Fish, Berkeley Square House, Berkeley Square, London W1J 6BR
FILM: Crimson Peak
It's almost Halloween. We mention this 1. In case you haven't had time to stock up on Haribo Fangtastics as yet (so good); and 2. To put you in the mood for this chilling new ghost story from Pan's Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro. It has all the gothic horror ingredients you could want: a fustering old manor house (complete with terrible lighting, long dark hallways and a forbidden basement – essentials for any supernatural real estate), an aristocratic family hiding a terrible secret, and a virginal young heroine with a predilection for flowing white night gowns (hey, why get dressed?). Plus, it has Mia Wasikowska, Tom Hiddleston and Jessica Chastain to keep the scares suitably photogenic. Because let's face it, if you're going to have nightmares, they may as well star Tom Hiddleston.
Out Friday at cinemas nationwide
