It's the biggest night of the year in the world's most buzzing city. But how can you sort the stylish from the so-so? The delirious from the dud? The jazz-filled, the gourmet and the glamorous from the, well, not so much? Easy. Consult our guide to London's top NYE nights out, that's how. Hello there, 2016…More
THE ONE WITH A VIEW: Searcys White Tie Party
WHAT: First swanky members’ club Searcys transformed the top floors of The Gherkin into London’s biggest snow globe (white marble floors, twinkling fairy lights et al). Then they opened their doors to the rest of us (yay!). And now they’re REALLY spoiling us, with an NYE featuring cocktails, a three-course meal and flowing fizz.
WHY: Imagine it – you’re in the famous top-floor glass dome as the clock strikes 12. That’s some view.
WEAR: Any colour you like, as long as it’s white.
BOOK: From £180. 30 St Mary Axe EC3A 8EP
THE HEADS-DOWN RAVING ONE: Bugged Out at The Hydra
WHAT: The Hydra has spent 2015 consolidating its position as THE club night for uncompromising beats, unbeatable line-ups and unending nights (this one goes till 8am, folks). And they don’t intend to start 2016 any other way – calling in house-music big guns Bugged Out to bring the finest names in house to E1’s Studio Spaces.
WHY: When we say the finest names in house, we mean Julio Bashmore, Heidi, Derrick Carter, Marquis Hawkes, Shanti Celeste… One huge session, guaranteed.
WEAR: Something breathable, for God’s sake. And do we really need to say flat shoes? BOOK: From £20. 110 Pennington Street, E1W 2BB
